The name says it all: The long history of the Alter Wirt<\/a><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

In 1865 – when Goldach and Hallbergmoos were still separate – there was already an inn<\/a> that still exists today: the “Alter Wirt” inn. Old, because it was the first inn in the village. Since 1955, it has been owned by the family of Bernhard Graf, whose grandparents ran it as tenants for almost 20 years. Today it is leased out again, unlike the hotel next door, which is now run by Bernhard Graf himself. <\/p>\n\n

The hotel<\/a> was built in 1993 by the Graf family. The reason: the increasing tourist demand due to the opening of the nearby Munich airport and the then new industrial estate in Hallbergmoos. Although Bernhard Graf grew up in Fahrenzhausen, he often visited his grandparents and their inn during his childhood and youth. “I have always been passionate about the hotel and catering industry and it has been part of my life from an early age. It was clear to me early on that I wanted to follow in my family’s professional footsteps,” recalls Bernhard Graf. With this goal in mind, he trained as a hotel manager and in 2001, at the young age of 25, he realized his dream of running his own hotel by taking over his parents’ hotel. <\/p>\n\n

Many regular guests since 1993: Familiar charm, high culinary quality standards and proximity to the airport make it possible<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

Even 30 years after opening, the family character of the hotel is still one of the core aspects of its operating philosophy. The maximum occupancy of 14 rooms and 28 beds allow for a personal approach to the guests. “I know most of my guests by name, as they keep coming back. Some have even been coming since 1993,” says Graf happily. This loyalty also applies to the staff: many of the employees have been working here for over 20 years. With so little fluctuation, it is not surprising that the quote “Home away from Home” has become established among some regular guests as a way of expressing their sense of security during their stay at the Alter Wirt. <\/p>\n\n

The high quality of the breakfast buffet would also be difficult to achieve on a large scale: homemade jams with 67 percent fruit content, honey and apple juice from the hotel’s own orchard, as well as freshly prepared fruit salad every day add a culinary touch to the family’s offerings. At the Alter Wirt, even the bread rolls come fresh from the local bakery every morning. The kitchen also prepares fresh organic egg dishes on request. The local culinary variety is not only enjoyed by many professional athletes from all over the world and active travelers who stop off at the “Alter Wirt”, but also by families, commuters, business people or relatives of locals who have traveled to the area – a real benefit for the hotel industry in Hallbergmoos. “Thanks to the airport and the business park, we have a very diverse clientele. Many guests only come for one night and use the parking service we organize before flying on the next day,” explains Graf. <\/p>\n\n

When tradition meets modernity, comfort is the result<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

The Alte Wirt is also optimally prepared for the needs of its guests in terms of food and services. For example, there is a large desk in each of the spacious rooms (at least 18 square meters). From here, business people and commuters can work with high-speed Internet. <\/p>\n\n

The fast internet is just one result of the Graf family’s high digital standards for their hotel: since the extensive renovations in 2016\/17, the Alte Wirt has been equipped with the best technology. “We have equipped all rooms with smart TVs. This allows our guests to conveniently access streaming platforms such as Netflix and create their own TV program. We also no longer have traditional keys for the hotel rooms. Instead, the rooms can be locked and opened using a cell phone,” says Graf. As part of the refurbishment, the bathrooms were also modernized without creating a break in style with the hotel’s own furnishings. High-quality furniture made from natural wood and carpets made from sheep’s wool continue to evoke a Bavarian, homely feeling – authentic hospitality in Hallbergmoos. <\/p>\n\n

The hotel even recently installed four charging points for electric cars. Bernhard Graf wants to continue to keep up with the times. “The maypole of the Burschenverein von Goldach has stood in our courtyard for around 100 years. In Bavaria, the traditional dance in May is part of the culture that we stand for. Now there are four charging stations for electric cars on the same farm. We want to preserve our values and the inn culture without losing sight of the future,” says Graf. <\/p>\n\n

A new star in the Hallbergmoos hotel sky: The Premier Inn<\/a> celebrates its first birthday in Hallbergmoos<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

The Premier Inn, on the other hand, is one of the newer hotels in the hotel industry in Hallbergmoos. However, the history of the hotel goes back a long way. Originally there was a Holiday Inn here. After a short break, the Premier Inn opened on May 6, 2022. This hotel of the British chain is the 39th since the start of the German business in 2016. There are now already 50 Premier Inn hotels across Germany. The ambitions are high, as the company’s concept has already borne fruit in England: over 800 hotels, permanent suppliers and its own department store speak not only for quantity, but above all for quality. <\/p>\n\n

Close and yet far away: Hallbergmoos as an oasis in the midst of departure times<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

The name of the hotel in Hallbergmoos “Premier Inn Munich Airport South” is derived from its considerable proximity to Munich Airport<\/a>. It takes 10 minutes to get to the airport from here. “Here in Hallbergmoos, we benefit greatly from the airport. We work with various airlines that recommend us for layover business. Despite this proximity, our hotel in Hallbergmoos offers our often travel-stressed guests plenty of peace and quiet and a pleasant stay,” explains Stefanie Glanemann, Hotel Manager of the Premier Inn Munich Airport South. <\/p>\n\n

Business booker<\/a>: all-round carefree package for business travelers<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

Although leisure customers also visit at weekends, the Premier Inn’s guests are predominantly business people. The Premier Inn has launched a business booker program for them. This is a range of benefits and services for companies with travel activities, such as special discounts and more flexible booking conditions. Changes or cancellations are also possible at no additional cost and member companies are provided with a personal contact person for matters relating to bookings, special requests or other services at the hotel. Another advantage: the administrative workload for business bookers is reduced as all invoices for overnight stays are issued centrally. <\/p>\n\n

Hospitality, employee satisfaction and unbeatable value for money: the Premier Inn’s recipe for success<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

Once at the Premier Inn in Hallbergmoos, the hotel offers its guests six fully equipped conference rooms, as well as a working station in the restaurant. If that is too formal, the quiet terrace overlooking the inner courtyard and the large bar area can be used as home offices or networking places as alternatives. <\/p>\n\n

This is one of the main criteria for the success of our hotels. Our official claim is: Everything premium – except the price,” says Glanemann. Whether it’s the top quality of the mattresses, the wellness feeling in the rain shower or freshly prepared egg dishes and branded products at breakfast – the Premier Inn always exceeds the expectations of a budget hotel. <\/p>\n\n

Friendly interaction with guests is just as important for the hotel’s operating philosophy. It is well known that the mood of the employees plays a decisive role in this – and ultimately their satisfaction with the working conditions. This is why employee satisfaction is the top priority for Premier Inn. Premier Inn was named the Most Wanted Employer<\/a><\/em> by ZEIT. “It makes me proud to have been part of this great team for six years. Not once during the coronavirus pandemic were people made redundant. Instead, we were all given the best possible support. Team is very important to us.
