99 and one night: A new hotel is being built in Skygate Munich

Lifting a few weights after the journey, a nightcap after a strenuous business meeting or simply a relaxing night: the Munich Airport Business Park in Hallbergmoos is getting a new hotel, expanding the range of accommodation options between Munich Airport, the local community and the office location.

212 rooms, 8,500 square meters and just a ten-minute drive to Munich Franz Josef Strauss Airport. In the second half of 2019, the Centro Hotel Group will open new accommodation in Skygate Munich at Munich Airport Business Park in Hallbergmoos. It will be one of the company’s three NinetyNine hotels, which will also open next year in Wuppertal and Heidelberg. The concept: “A budget hotel with new standards in terms of design and quality of life,” says Rahman Neiro, CEO of Centro Hotel Group.

It will have conference rooms, a fitness area, a bar and a library. The Hamburg hotel company was able to secure the contract for the space in Skygate Munich. Apart from the location in Hallbergmoos, eleven other NinetyNine hotels are already in the planning stage, some of which are already under construction. The Centro Hotel Group operates a total of 78 hotels throughout Germany and Austria. With the new concept, “guests will be amazed to discover how significantly higher quality aspects can be lived and implemented in the budget segment than one would expect,” says Neiro.

The Centro Hotel Group thus joins a group of other well-known tenants of the office campus in the north of Munich – including Lufthansa, Air France, KLM, Avon Cosmetics, Bentley Motors and many more. The Rock Capital Group from Grünwald, which is the landlord of the space, is delighted to have “secured another long-term tenant”, says Peter G. Neumann, Managing Director of the Rock Capital Group. The hotel’s move will now make it possible to integrate the hotel use planned from the outset within the campus and thus offer the employees and guests of Skygate Munich more than just a place to stay overnight.
