ITK PROFESSIONAL – The future needs change

“Change,” says Michael Fischer, founder and owner of ITK Professional, “and with it leaving the comfort zone, is the first step for many companies to be able to survive on the market in the future.” The Hallbergmooser knows what he is talking about. He moved to the then tranquil town with his parents back in 1980 and was able to experience first-hand how the construction of the airport permanently changed the aspirations and significance of the community. Over the past 25 years or so, the trained IT electronics technician has also been involved in the developments that have made the IT sector what it is today. “It has always been important to me to keep an eye on the latest technical changes and to recognize when a technology can be used for my customers,” the IT service provider adds. “And that’s why I started networking with colleagues and employees under the ITK-Professional label relatively early on. Although today I sometimes wonder whether ITK Professionals wouldn’t have been the better choice,” Fischer adds with a laugh.

For a long time, the advantages of Microsoft’s cloud products in particular were presented to customers in a decentralized manner and without a central location. However, this has also changed since the move to the Hallbergmoos business park and finally to the Airport Business Center. “The new office is exactly the center that I and my current three colleagues have been missing so far. Even if Corona makes the start of the new working life a little more difficult.” On the other hand, the ideal location and the community make many things easier: “Of course, the location is now an ideal environment for business development. Not only because of its proximity to Munich and the many companies based here, but also because the local town hall has often made the right decisions in recent years when it comes to promoting and strengthening the businesses located here.”

Decentralized working not just since COVID-19

And Fischer and his colleagues have been preparing them for years for what has become the new standard in home office and decentralized working in the past year: “Modern Workplace is what Microsoft calls it, Work 4.0 in political parlance. And we have been providing our customers with the opportunity to have access to their own work tools anytime and anywhere for years. However, before the pandemic began, many people were not yet using the cloud options to the same extent as they are today, which is why our most urgent task was to train our customers to use the available tools in an expanded way.”

Fischer’s heart also beats for change when it comes to mobility. And since his training as an electromobility consultant, he has been able to correctly interpret many of the interfaces between the world of IT and communication and future mobility. “As a car enthusiast and technology person, it somehow made sense to combine these two areas. After all, it’s not just me who has recognized that mobility has to change, but also Microsoft, which holds its own summit on this topic every year.”

Airport Business Center: Office location with flexible options

Only one thing will not change for ITK Professionals for the time being: the Hallbergmoos location and the office in the Airport Business Center: “The ability to rent additional space in the building for training and events was a key reason for us to move here. And we want to continue to grow here in the future and work on the concept of generating new projects together with colleagues and partners.” By the way: Fischer provides initial impressions and advice free of charge: he has also been sharing his knowledge on his own blog at www.itk-professional.de for years.
