In Hallbergmoos, where agriculture still has a strong presence, a special event takes place that combines local tradition with modern working life: the Fruit Days at Munich Airport Business Park (MABP) and in the town center. The event, which has now become a popular tradition, brings the fruits of the region directly to the employees of local companies.
Regional apples for global and local companies
For four days in October, the MABP is transformed into a place where health and local products take center stage. Employees of the municipal administration, together with some members of the MABP investor group, distribute apple baskets to the companies and tradespeople in the MABP and in the town center. The special thing about it: the apples come directly from Hallbergmoos, from the Bavarian Fruit Center Dr. Neumüller, a testimony to the quality and diversity of local agriculture.
Alexander Mademann, business promoter for the municipality of Hallbergmoos, explains the importance of this initiative: “The fruit days are more than just a nice gesture. They symbolize our connection with local agriculture and our commitment to the well-being of the people who work here. We want to show that tradition, economic development and health promotion go hand in hand.”

Fruit days in Hallbergmoos: Holistic approach for employee well-being
With the fruit days, those responsible bring local produce to the globally active companies at the site. A number of building owners and their representatives are also taking part in the campaign at Munich Airport Business Park. Sarah Grothe, Asset Manager of the Rock Capital Group, which owns the life science, office, hotel and biotech hub SKYGATE, emphasizes: “Our aim is to create a working environment in which people feel comfortable and valued. The fruit days are another small building block in our holistic New Work concept to promote employee health.”
This approach is also reflected in the philosophy of the Sirius Office Center. Danja Leko, Sales Manager, adds: “Our modern working environments are all about creating spaces that promote well-being and productivity in equal measure. The fruit days are a wonderful way to show our tenants that we care about their holistic wellbeing.”
Hallbergmoos: Where sport and health are a top priority
The fruit days in Hallbergmoos fit in perfectly with the health-conscious focus of the municipality of Hallbergmoos. With an impressive sports park, the innovative surf wave of O2 SURFTOWN MUC and numerous sports clubs, the municipality offers a wide range of opportunities for an active lifestyle. The promotion of a balanced diet through initiatives such as the fruit days complements this commitment to the health of employees.
More than just apples: networking and location development
However, the fruit days are more than just a health initiative. They also serve as a platform for dialog between the community, investors and local companies. Alongside other formats such as the upcoming Winter Village in November and the after-work series, the Fruit Days help to raise the profile of Munich Airport Business Park and promote networking between companies.
The overarching goal is clear: to further develop the Hallbergmoos location and make it even more attractive for new companies. With initiatives such as the Fruit Days, Hallbergmoos shows that it is possible to harmoniously combine tradition and innovation, local roots and global orientation.
