These two companies have an eye for business. Stefan and Michael Kroll’s company “Optima Pharmazeutische GmbH” manufactures medical products in the fields of ophthalmology, ear, nose and throat medicine and allergology in the MABP. Optician Christian Geppert provides a clear view in Hallbergmoos with his store “Optik Geppert”.
Optima Pharmazeutische: Experts for dry eyes
Good for crying: Optima Pharmazeutische GmbH, founded in 1984, develops, produces and distributes medical products in the fields of ophthalmology, ear, nose and throat medicine and pneumology. Tears Again is one of the best-known products of the medium-sized family business. A product line that treats irritated and dry eyes. The medicine mimics the natural tear film and thus provides relief from itching for contact lens wearers, eyes with clogging and freshly lasered eyes.
Optima Pharmazeutische GmbH is a newcomer to the MABP. The owner-managed company only relocated its headquarters to the Business Park in July last year. The two managing directors Michael and Stefan Kroll currently employ ten people there.
Opticians Geppert: The focus is on people
Christian Geppert has been an optician by conviction for more than 30 years. His work motto: “Every customer gets what they really need from us.” After several years of professional experience, he founded his own optician’s shop “Optik Geppert” in Hallbergmoos in 1996. “People are the focus for us,” says the master optician. His wide range of products extends from classic eyewear models to wooden glasses made in Freising, sports glasses, contact lenses and PC glasses through to special glasses. Christian Geppert specializes in low vision, among other things. “Low vision” refers to a visual impairment in which those affected only have one to two percent of their vision left. The customers are almost blind. Christian Geppert works with them to find the right visual aid to support their remaining vision, be it magnifying glasses, loupes, special lenses or contrast enhancement solutions.
Optometry is a business based on trust, says Christian Geppert. That’s why his customers are willing to travel long distances. In addition to Hallbergmoos and the surrounding area, customers from Munich and Freising come to his opticians. “Finding a good optician is like finding a hairdresser. Once you’ve found someone who is not only a good fit on a professional level, but also on a personal level, you don’t just switch,” says an older customer in the store.
For the coming trends, Geppert sees the frames getting a little bigger again: “The models are getting a little bigger and more colorful again. Also for men. And metal as a frame material is on the rise.”
