The municipality of Hallbergmoos continues to strengthen its community profile in the fourth quarter with culture and sport. Why? “Employees at the Munich Airport Business Park (MABP) and local residents should feel equally at home in Hallbergmoos,” says Harald Reents, First Mayor of Hallbergmoos. The municipality has long recognized how important soft location factors are. In 2018, there will have been more than 30 events that position Hallbergmoos as an international, vibrant and young community.
Everyday people: Stimulation to be human
The “Everyday People” by artist Christel Lechner have been in Hallbergmoos since July – for the first time in Bavaria. Culture officer Sabina Brosch on the larger-than-life concrete figures: “The everyday people are a tribute to our humanity, just as we are: Not perfect, but each unique and valuable in their own way.” Hallbergmoos has achieved something new and extraordinary for its public space with this art project. The “everyday people” will be populating the paths in Hallbergmoos until October 10, 2018. The people of Hallbergmoos and many local employees are very impressed. This is why the one or other Everyday People will remain in Hallbergmoos even after October 10.

Theater, theater: Curtain up for entertainment and networking
The cultural program in Hallbergmoos remains diverse in autumn and winter: in October, the “Hallberger Brettl” theater association is staging a play. The performances will take place on October 20, 26 and 27, 2018 in the Hallbergmoos community hall. “Resident and employee satisfaction has many facets. We want to address and connect all target groups in our community through the variety of events,” says Alexander Mademann from the Hallbergmoos community business development department. According to him, such activities, from theater evenings and New Year’s champagne receptions to after-work parties, contribute to Hallbergmoos’ image and development. “The so-called soft location factors are becoming increasingly relevant. If you want to find and retain employees, you have to offer more than just a workplace. For us, however, the working environment does not stop at the office, but encompasses the entire town,” explains the business promoter.

It gets sporty in winter
November in Hallbergmoos, for example, is all about sport. On November 12, the top-class table tennis gala will take place in the Hallbergmoos triple gymnasium with internationally successful table tennis pro Timo Boll, among others. From karate to jumping fitness to Zumba: on the Long Night of Sport on November 17, interested people can do something for body and mind together in three halls of the Hallbergmoos sports and leisure park until shortly before midnight for the 6th time. “The Long Night of Sport has been very well received in previous years. We expect the number of participants to exceed last year’s figure of around 500 sports fans in 2018,” says Mademann. Because more and more companies are thinking about the health of their employees, the municipality has long since opened the Hallbergmoos sports and leisure park to tenants and their employees at the MABP. They can use the park and its facilities flexibly and at fixed times.
