New opening of Soller Business Hotel: sustainability and regionality are top priorities here

Beekeeping with a flower meadow, treated water from the tap and the “Eisvogel” restaurant with a selection of regional dishes. The Soller Business Hotel in Lilienthalstraße in Hallbergmoos opened its doors to guests from all over the world for the first time on April 1, and with great success. However, the Soller family and their 20 employees not only delight guests with their proximity to the airport and high-quality design, but also with a sustainability concept that pleases flora and fauna.

Since the beginning of April, the hotel staff have been accommodating guests in 123 rooms every day. “The opening went very well. Of course, the fact that the trade fair for construction and mining machinery (Bauma) took place at the beginning of April was also an advantage. Our hotel was also well received by the surrounding companies and their employees, who were guests in our restaurant shortly after the opening,” explains Janine Moll, Head of Sales and Marketing at Soller Businesshotel.

The hotel is owned by the Soller family, who are also active in agriculture and run a second hotel in Ismaning. Ludwig Soller bought the property 30 years ago due to its good location and proximity to the airport, trade fair and Munich. He finally decided to build in 2017. The core target group of the business hotel are business travelers, for whom two conference rooms for ten to 15 people each are available. However, everyone is welcome here – especially the people of Hallbergmoos. The “Eisvogel” restaurant offers a daily changing lunch menu.

From the planting, the wooden floors and the design to the organic wall paint – the closeness to nature can be found everywhere here. This is also reflected in the philosophy of the kitchen. “The regionality of products is very important to us. The special thing about our restaurant is certainly also the high proportion of products from the surrounding area. Fresh dishes can also be adapted to any special requests and intolerances, as we prepare everything fresh. Gilbert Bielen, a well-known organic chef, is the head chef at ‘Eisvogel’ and ensures a balanced cuisine,” says Janine Moll. Another matter close to the Soller family’s heart are the 4 beehives with western honeybees that are placed around the building and supply the business with honey.

The first travelers to spend a night in the new business hotel came from England. In general, however, guests here come from all over the world. And for all those who want to fly south from Munich Airport, we have another tip: simply stay overnight at the Soller Business Hotel, leave your car in the hotel’s underground parking garage and take off to the airport and your vacation in complete relaxation. Or simply stay at the hotel and pamper yourself in the 90-degree sauna, in the steam bath, with yoga or with a massage.

For those who prefer to lend a hand, there are opportunities in the restaurant, service, reception and kitchen, as we are still looking for additional staff in these areas. Please send applications to Ms. Sonnen at: bewerbung@soller-businesshotel.de
