Sharing conference of the Munich metropolitan region in Hallbergmoos

The municipality of Hallbergmoos, together with the Munich metropolitan region, hosted a sharing conference. Around 140 participants and experts from the field of shared mobility discussed possibilities for a more efficient approach to sustainable mobility in urban and rural areas at the Munich Airport Business Park (MABP). The focus was on topics such as the legal framework, opportunities for on-demand services in rural areas and corporate and municipal sharing services.

As Munich and the region continue to grow, transportation systems are increasingly reaching their limits. Innovative solutions are needed. But how do car and bike sharing work in detail? What framework conditions need to be in place in urban and rural areas? And what role will the new eScooter play in the future? Can these new solutions be a useful addition to public transport in rural areas? And what opportunities are there for employers? The experts discussed these and many other questions.

A decisive prerequisite is to network together, both locally and nationally, to learn from success and failure and to create transparency. After all, mobility only works if it is thought about and shared across city and district boundaries – true to the motto “Munich Metropolitan Region. Do more together!”
