During the coronavirus pandemic, a biotech cluster was established in the Munich Airport Business Park (MABP) in Hallbergmoos and has been growing ever since. More and more biotech companies are discovering Hallbergmoos as an ideal location. The initiative of the municipality of Hallbergmoos together with the MABP, the biotech cluster BioM, the TUM Venture Lab, and the companies vermicon AG, Xpedite Diagnostics and ZETA GmbH in the MABP are now inviting citizens to a dialog for the first time. The aim of the Biotech Citizens’ Assembly in Hallbergmoos is to make their own work tangible and reduce reservations.
In the end, everything ends up in pharmaceutical products and the work of the researchers remains hidden: The biotech sector often has to work in laboratories behind closed doors. Nevertheless, it makes a decisive contribution to the progress of our health, hygiene and nutrition. What sounds obvious is often forgotten. Because work that is not visible is often misjudged. For this reason, the initiative consisting of the municipality of Hallbergmoos, the MABP, BioM, TUM Venture Lab, vermicon AG, Xpedite Diagnostics and ZETA GmbH invites you to a citizens’ dialog.
On November 16, starting at 5:30 p.m., researchers and cluster managers will inform the citizens of Hallbergmoos about the state of biotechnology and their own work with short, 15-minute presentations in the Hallbergmoos community hall at Theresienstraße 6 and give an outlook on the future of the industry. Above all, however, they will be available to answer questions from the citizens in attendance. “With the Citizens’ Dialogue, we want to break down inhibitions, make the biotech cluster in Hallbergmoos tangible and, above all, show what the companies in this sector in Hallbergmoos are doing for our health and future,” explains Alexander Mademann, business promoter for the municipality of Hallbergmoos.
The municipality of Hallbergmoos cordially invites everyone to take part in the Citizens’ Dialogue. Registration is not required. Participation is free of charge.
