Since it was founded in 2019, the Hallbergmoos-Neufahrn e. V. music school has been a place of education and a point of contact for many young people. Pupils can not only learn to play musical instruments here. The school promotes the development of their personality. Special support is also given to those with an exceptional background, such as refugees or gifted children. Nevertheless, anyone with an interest in music is welcome to attend courses at the Hallbergmoos-Neufahrn e. V. music school.
One music school, two communities: The idea of the adult education music department from Hallbergmoos became a reality in 2019. Hallbergmoos and Neufahrn have joined forces in the form of a music school to teach music-loving people how to make music. Since then, the two municipalities, a sponsoring association and the Bavarian Music School Association have been supporting the school and thus contributing to the continued existence of the educational institution. “The basic idea behind the school is to make it possible for anyone interested to learn music at a reasonable price and to a high standard,” says Gisela Bouton, Director of the Hallbergmoos-Neufahrn e.V. music school.

The music school Hallbergmoos-Neufahrn e. V. offers a special music education concept which, in addition to the practical learning of a musical instrument, also conveys important educational values to the pupils. For this reason, there are strict requirements for teachers that must be observed: Lecturers must have a degree in music.
Students at the music school receive weekly lessons during normal school hours. Musicians can book lessons either as individual lessons or as group lessons. The motto: Music brings joy – not only through individual success, but also in the group. The length of the lessons can also be freely arranged. The music school offers lesson formats of 30, 45 or 60 minutes. The choice of courses is enormous: from clarinet, accordion, magic harp, recorder and flute to violin, viola and cello to piano, drums, guitar, saxophone and singing.
Whether highly gifted, people from difficult backgrounds, with disabilities or refugees: the music school places particular emphasis on diversity in the promotion of young talent. In addition to the normal lessons, the music school also offers remedial lessons to those interested in music. In order to be able to support each student individually according to their needs. Gisela Bouton emphasizes: “Art and culture are part of every person’s nature. Music is part of our personal development. This makes it all the more important to allow everyone to participate.”
